Grow Hope Grow Health: Our Community Garden campaign
This initiative thrives on hands in the soil. Whether you're planting, weeding, or simply watering seedlings, your time matters.
Nourishing Kentucky’s seniors, youth, and families—one seed at a time.
At Threshold of Hope, we believe nutritious food is more than nourishment—it’s the foundation of health, independence, and community resilience. That’s why we’re launching a Community Garden, designed to:
-
Provide fresh, affordable produce to seniors, families, and youth in our community
-
Empower residents with gardening skills that build self-reliance
-
Create a gathering space where neighbors connect, learn, and flourish together
This isn't just a garden—it’s a space of healing, growth, and shared opportunity
.
Every $25 plants seeds for a raised-bed starter kit
$100 builds a foot of accessible garden pathway (for wheelchair users or seniors)
$500 supports compost, tools, and seedlings for an entire garden plot
"Together, we envision a garden where every blade of grass tells a story of hope and transformation."
90% of funds raised go directly to garden infrastructure and sustainable operations—ensuring your support creates long-lasting impact.
Providing preventive care, life-saving training, and health education to improve long-term outcomes.
Building the tools for long-term success with training that meets people where they are.
Connecting neighbors, lifting up voices, and building safe, informed communities.
"Threshold of Hope Community Development Co. is changing lives by providing hope, empowering individuals, delivering preventive services, and leading with love—creating healthier, stronger communities from the inside out."
Community empowerment creates lasting change—and with your support, we can equip individuals with the tools to rise, lead, and transform their neighborhoods from within.
"I couldn’t afford new shoes for my kids this school year, but Threshold of Hope stepped in and gave them exactly what they needed to start school with confidence. Watching my child smile in brand-new shoes meant the world to me."
” Thanks to Threshold of Hope, my sons walked into the first day of school with fresh haircuts and their heads held high. It may seem small to some, but it made a huge difference in how they saw themselves.”
” The kids at Home of the Innocents don’t always get these kinds of experiences. Taking them to the movies, giving them popcorn and a drink—it gave them a moment of joy, a sense of normalcy, and a memory they'll never forget. Thank you for seeing them.”
